We are honoured to say we shall be having Alex Vasco bring a sound masterclass to Wolverhampton Film Festival 2024!

Also known as alXX.productions, Alex is a Sound Engineer known by his contributions both in music and film.

He is also the Founder of Sigma Sonics Ltd and Azziz Studios, both creative industries entities based in London, United Kingdom.

He carries his love for “sounds”, rhythm and endless creativity, from his southern African origins.

Alex is equipped with specialists knowledge and skills, while surrounded and engaging with some of the most exciting minds in the industry, continuously fomenting problem solving, growth and innovation.

Exploring Your Writer’s Voice
with Omar Parvaz

We’re thrilled to announce that Omar Parvaz, a BAFTA shortlisted and award-winning screenwriter, will be hosting a workshop on discovering your unique voice in screenwriting.

Omar’s journey as a writer began when his extremely humorous script was chosen to be part of the prestigious BBC Writers’ Room for Comedy in 2018.

Since then, he has written and produced short films that have won numerous Best Film Awards.

If you’re a writer or interested in discovering your writer’s voice, don’t miss out on this workshop. It’s going to be a valuable experience!

We are excited to finally announce Nitin Ganatra OBE as part of Wolverhampton Film Festival 2024!

He shall be joining us with an insight into his long and very successful acting career, followed up with Q & A.

We strongly advise reserving your tickets as soon as possible in order to not miss out!

As part of our panel, we have the following four.

Producer Neil Chordia, who is an independent film producer and the founder of ChorMedia. He has worked in the UK film industry for over 16 years and amongst the titles he has helped produce and distribute are Michael Caton-Jones’s URBAN HYMN, Kenneth Branagh’s SLEUTH starring Michael Caine and Jude Law, Marc Evans’ TRAUMA starring Colin Firth and much more!

Central Youth Theatre member and Wolverhampton born Actor Cory Mcclane, a British Actor with many established credits including his Award Winning BFI Film "Hard to Reach" being screened Worldwide. Cory has also appeared in BBC Doctors & Channel 4 Hollyoaks. He has an extensive collection of British Film Institute under his belt including: Rushed, Barricade & HTR as well as other films such as Eleven :14

Multidisciplinary artist Rupinder Kaur Waraich, whose work often touches upon the feminine narrative and gaze through different artistic disciplines from poetry, writing, performing, and acting. Rupinder co-wrote, acted and produced the short film– - The Two Artists which had its premiere at the UK Asian Film festival in 2023.

Senior Lecturer of Film and Television at the University of Wolverhampton, Russell Prior. Russell brings to the table over 17 years worth of time working within the media industry. A experienced multimedia producer which includes clients such as BBC world service, BBC world news, the Football Association as well as much more.
