Will Chase is an award-winning director, producer, and Tony-Nominated American actor, who is best known for his television and stage appearances. Having been on stage and in front of the camera for most of his career, he has gone on to film, edit, and direct several films, most recently the award-winning 2026 short documentary A GIFT FOR ETHAN. His recent documentary, COMING HOME, about the Irish duo The Guggenheim Grotto, won the Jury Award for Best Short Film at the 2025 LIMEHOF Music Documentary Film Festival and Best Director of a Documentary at the 2025 CHAIN Film Festival. Will's 2021 short film TRUNK SHOW won BEST SHORT FILM at Ridgewood International Film Festival and was featured at numerous other film festivals including New York Shorts International Film Festival, Garden State Film Festival, Retro Avant Garde Film Festival (BEST ORIGINAL SCORE Nominee), Shockfest Film Festival, and the Santa Monica Film Festival. Acting credits include "The Crowded Room", "Dopesick", "Nashville", HBO's "Sharp Objects" and "The Deuce", "Stranger Things", "American Crime Story: Versace", "Smash", "Rescue Me", and After The Wedding among others. Broadway credits include Rent, Billy Elliot, The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Tony Nom.), Kiss Me Kate, Miss Saigon, Lennon, High Fidelity, Aida, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and Story of My Life. Will hails from Frankfort, Kentucky and attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he studied Percussion and Conducting. He has two daughters, actors Daisy and Gracie Chase, and lives in Brooklyn, NY with his partner, composer and singer Ingrid Michaelson.
