We are proud to welcome you to The West Sound Film Festival. The event will feature talent both local and abroad and encourage networking, growth and shared love of great films. The West Sound Film Festival will be hosted at The Historic Roxy Theatre, an independent theater in Bremerton, Washington and the Bremerton SEEfilm. We look forward to bringing both local businesses and filmmakers together for a fresh, contemporary celebration of film

If your category is not listed please still submit. We may add categories if we have a sizeable amount of submissions in that genre.

Awards & Prizes

A framed Certificate will be presented to the winner of each category.

Rules & Terms

General Rules:

Submission Deadlines:
Early Bird Submission: by January 15th, 2026
Regular Submission: January 16th- May 5th, 2026
Late Submission: May 6th - May 25th, 2026

West Sound Film Festival competition categories are open to the United States and International entries.

If the film’s primary language is not English, it must have English Subtitles.

Entries must include contact information, with both an email address and phone number.

Submission Format:
Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway online screeners only.

Festival Promotion:
Should your film be chosen, portions of your submitted material may be copied and utilized for the purpose of promoting your film and the festival. Upon submission, filmmakers grant the West Sound Film Festival the right to use excerpts, highlights and/or trailers from the film for promotional purposes/ marketing. West Sound Film Festival has the right to screen any film or projects submitted to the Film Festival.

Additional Submission Rules:
You may submit as many entries as you like however, each submission requires its own entry fee and form.
Works in progress will automatically be disqualified
Industrials or promotional videos are not appropriate for submission
Entry fees will not be refunded
Only submit work of which the filmmaker has all the rights.

All decisions made by the West Sound Film Festival are final and at their discretion.

    As a filmmaker, when you attend a festival you hope to find a dedicated team, a great venue, an engaged audience, and maybe even a good party or two 😉. The West Sound Film Festival delivered on all counts. Amy Camp and her wonderful team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome during my visit with our film Hearts of Stone.

    To top it off, we were honoured to receive the award for Best Cinematography in a Narrative Short. A truly memorable and rewarding experience—highly recommended!

    Had a lovely experience. Amy and the team were so welcoming, and Bremerton has a small town charm. Lots of fun opportunities to connect with other filmmakers (which is one of the main fest strengths). And everything was within walking distance.

    I screened 2 films, Gay Jesus and Blondie.
