Located in the heart of the film industry, the Webdance Film Festival is a premier international film, television, and new media festival that is devoted to finding and highlighting the best cinema in the world. Our Jury will award the best films through private screenings, and make a special interview with the award winners through our partner company Cinema Summit.

Each main submission category has 7 award categories. One project from our main submission categories that demonstrates outstanding craftsmanship, storytelling, and technical achievement will receive the **Cinema Laureate Award, which includes our laurel trophy statue. Additional award categories include: First-Time Director Award, Student Award, and Genre Awards. The Official Selections are viewed by our team of judges and award ballots are submitted for each project. Winners are announced during the Live Online and In-Person Awards Ceremony hosted by Gilded Cinema. Winners in any category will be featured on the website and interviewed for Cinema Summit.

All films selected into the Webdance Film Festival (including Official Selections, Nominated Projects, and Award Winners) will be given the option to participate in a non-exclusive Worldwide VOD distribution deal with our partners Gilded Cinema. Should the filmmakers decide to accept this prize, they will be contacted directly by Gilded Cinema to negotiate the terms of this distribution deal.
Note: Filmmakers are not required to accept. No film will be put online in its entirety without the express permission of the filmmaker.
All Award Winners will be given Lifetime Access to CINELEADS - a web-based app for filmmakers to find potential clients. The app automatically analyzes websites based on keyphrases and location, and shows the quality of existing video along with contact information so that you can reach out and pitch your work to them.
Webdance Film Festival is open to all genres and all countries. All films will go through a comprehensive evaluation process.
The process involves these stages:
>Our team of industry professionals will review all submissions and choose category and award winners.
>If a film is not selected as a category winner it will either be an "Official Selection" or "Not Accepted".
>Only award winners are screened at the Annual Festival.
>Winners are notified on the Notification Date.
Things to know before submitting:
Submission of your film to Webdance Film Festival confirms that the festival has the permission to exhibit your film(s) during the festival and /or at any other Festival event. Submission of a work implies that the Festival can employ moving image excerpts and reproduce stills of exhibition promotion. Credit will be given to any filmmaker or screenwriter of such material is used in Festival promotion. Original copyright holder retains all rights to their work.
All filmmakers submitting a film to the Webdance Film Festival (hereafter known as ‘The Festival’, ‘We’, ‘Us” and ‘Our”), accept and agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions:
1. The Festival only accepts online registrations and submissions to be assessed. We accept films in any language; however, films not made in English must have English subtitles.
2. By submitting a film to The Festival, the submitter agrees that the film may be screened online in its entirety, online, in a live theatrical venue, and any other venue chosen by the festival, and clips from the film may be shown during our live awards event, if it is selected.
3. We are only accepting films that have been produced during and after 2013 at this time.
4. A minimum of 150 total submissions is required in order to award a film with the Cinema Laureate Award and trophy.
5. All awards are given at the discretion of the judges and are pending the number of submissions per category.
6. All submission fees are non-refundable.
