When filmmakers want to find a path, they often have to forge it themselves. Wandering-Lion Studios was started by two Filmmakers who were tired of waiting on the world and that's what this Festival is all about too. Get your work seen by those who were just like you. Driven, determined, and recognizing that our industry is rapidly changing at every level from how films are funded to how they’re made and distributed. Wandering-Lion Studios Film Fest is where the world can come to discover this new generation of filmmakers and the stories they're telling.

Awards & Prizes

All projects officially selected as finalists will receive the Wandering-Lion Studios laurel. Some filmmakers, screenwriters and actors may be invited for an interview or to provide WLS with BTS material to be published also in WLS website.

For this purpose, we recommend that projects must be fully entered on FilmFreeway, including film stills, production pictures, downloadable poster, and trailer or teaser.

At the annual events, award winners may receive monetary prizes for select categories depending on participation and number of projects submitted.

Judges score quality and creativity of entries on a performance scale and winning entries will be recognized.

Rules & Terms

All genres are accepted with a maximum length of 45 minutes.

For student fees, it is mandatory the student status evidence (e.g copy of student card included in the project).

The films must include English subtitles (unless the spoken language is English).

By submitting your film, you agree that:
1. Wandering-Lion Studios can use parts of your film (including trailer/teaser/film poster) for promotional purpose.
2. Entry fees are non-refundable.
3. You own all the rights to the film.
4. You can withdraw your submission only during the 5 days after.
5. You cannot withdraw your submission after the official selection announcement of each round.

Wandering-Lion Studios does not accept the following:

1. Extremist or propaganda content from religious or political organizations.
2. Films which are made before 2010.
3. Films with a poor production standard (bad sound, lack of subtitles/captions for non-English films, or video resolution less than 720p HD).

    What a completely fantastic festival. In the age of online tests its sometimes hard to know who is legitimate and who is just taking you and your films for a ride.

    Wandering Lion were the real deal and went above and beyond to . not only present the nominations and winners, but to make us feel respected for our own time and effort.

    Massively recommended.
