Victoria Koberstein is a German filmmaker and director, dedicated to addressing serious subjects with a profound sense of urgency and emotional depth.
Born in 1995, her passion for storytelling emerged during her childhood and fueled her interest to pursue film studies in Chicago in 2014 and later refine her skills at the School of Arts and Design in Kassel, Germany, specializing in film directing.
Her debut short film, "Patrycia,", a hybrid of documentary and fiction, premiered at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival and was screened at various international film festivals. Furthermore, the film achieved critical success by winning the award for "Best Documentary" at the Tonnau Short Film Festival in 2022.
In addition to narrative-driven films and publicized short stories, Victoria Koberstein has showcased her artistic versatility through a music and dance film trilogy. These more abstract works have screened at renowned international film festivals, such as the LA Festival of Cinema, and received a variety of awards.
In 2021, she founded the film production company STEINWARM and received funding by Hessen Film & Media, the federal film board of the state Hesse.
