Nació atrás en el 2008 como un foro para los amantes del cine fantástico y terror en Tijuana, BC. Con proyecciones semanales, muestras de cortometrajes, exhibiciones especiales, shows musicales, entre otros eventos, creció a ser uno de los mejores espacios en la ciudad para celebrar la experiencia cinematográfica.

It came to life back in 2008 as a forum for horror and fantasy films enthusiasts in the city of Tijuana, Mexico. With weekly showings, short films showcase, special exhibitions, musical performances, among other events, it grew to become one of the best destinations in the city for those seeking to celebrate the cinematographic experience.

Submissions are open for short films (under 29 minutes), mid-lenght films (30 minutes to 59) and feature films (anything over 60 minutes). Any submission, regardless of duration, will be subject to times and scheduling availability of the festival.

All submitted films must belong to the following genres: Horror and/or Fantasy and any possible sub-genres they might encapsulate. Any submission outside those genres will be subject to the festival’s criteria.

Submissions from any country, in any language, are welcomed as long as they include Spanish and/or English subtitles for judge evaluation and festival screening.

All films submitted must be no older than 3 years (from 2021 to 2024) from end of production.

For judge evaluation, screeners must be provided vía FilmFreeway, Vimeo and/or YouTube, and/or download links from any online host such as Dropbox, MyAirBridge, WeTransfer or any similar of your choosing.

All possible formats for screening are: DCP, Blu-Ray, DVD (in certain cases) and/or digital files such as MP4, MKV or MOV (or any other under the filmmaker’s discretion).

The moment a work enters the official selection, any graphic material attached to the submission (posters, stills, synopsis) could be subject to use for the festival’s promotion on social platforms.

La convocatoria esta abierta a cortometrajes (29 minutos o menos), medio-metrajes (de 30 minutos a 59) y películas (60 minutos o más). Todas las obras de cualquier duración quedarán sujetas a tiempos y horarios del festival.

Los cortos y películas deberán pertenecer solamente a los géneros: Horror y/o Fantástico y los posibles sub-géneros que estos engloban. Cualquier obra que no se suscriba a ellos, quedará a consideración del festival.

Las obras inscritas pueden ser de cualquier parte del mundo, en cualquier idioma, mientras incluyan subtítulos al español (o ingles, en su defecto) para evaluación de los jueces y su proyección en el festival.

Los cortometrajes, medio-metrajes y películas inscritas no deberán superar los tres años de fecha de producción (Del 2021 al 2024).

Se aceptan screeners de FilmFreeway, Vimeo y/o YouTube para la evaluación de las obras, y links de descarga de cualquier host en línea como Dropbox, MyAirBridge, WeTransfer o el de su preferencia.

Los formatos posibles para la proyección de las obras seleccionadas son: DCP, Blu-ray, DVD (en ciertos casos) y/o archivo digital como: MP4, MKV o MOV (o algún otro bajo discreción de los realizadores).

Al formar parte de la selección oficial, el material gráfico enviado junto con la inscripción (posters, stills, sinopsis) podrán ser utilizados para promoción del festival en nuestras redes sociales.
