The Val Ceno Film Festival is a short film festival that takes place in Varano De Melegari (PR), a medieval village dominated by the Pallavicino castle, located in the Ceno valley.

- FREE THEME - BEST SHORT FILM on a free theme free theme (fiction, documentary or videoclip)
- ECOFILM AWARD. For the best film on an environmental theme.
- HUMAN RIGHTS and SOCIAL FILM. Open to all films that deal with any Human Rights topic and short films on SOCIAL ISSUE:
- AUDIENCE AWARD for Best Short Film (The Audience Award will be awarded by the audience during the screenings).
- YOUNG JURY AAWARD (The Audience Award will be awarded by the audience during the screenings).
- A committee appointed by the Festival Board of Directors may award special mentions.

- TEMA LIBERO - MIGLIOR CORTO a tema libero del festival
- ECOFILM AWARD. Miglior corto a tema ambientale.
- Migliro corto sui DIRITTI UMANI e A TEMA SOCIALE.
- PREMIO DEL PUBBLICO per il miglior corto (Il Premio del Pubblico sarà assegnato dal pubblico durante le proiezioni) .
- Premio GIURIA GIOVANI (Il Premio del Pubblico sarà assegnato dal pubblico durante le proiezioni) .
- Una commissione espressa dal Direttivo del Festival potrebbe assegnare menzioni speciali.

Rules & Terms

- A selection committee, appointed by the Festival Executive Committee, will conduct an initial evaluation and select the works to be screened and judged by the official juries, who will select the winners in each category and award any special mentions.
- SHORT FILMS RUNNING TIME: max 30 minutes
- REGISTRATION – DEADLINE AUGUST 20, 2026
- The "VAL CENO FILM FESTIVAL" festival, featuring screenings and awards, will take place in VARANO DE MELEGARI from September 11th to 13th.

- Un comitato di selezione, nominato dal Comitato Esecutivo del Festival, effettuerà una prima valutazione e selezionerà le opere che saranno proiettate e giudicate dalle giurie ufficiali, che decreteranno i vincitori di ogni categoria e assegneranno eventuali menzioni speciali.
