POSEIDON aims to promote the creation of Positive Energy Districts in the Mediterranean region..

The technical aspects of sustainable energy has been discussed and analyzed in full, however the social impact and importance of community involvement is often overlooked. Through community screenings, we'd like to highlight the social aspects of sustainability and renewable energy, and how bottom-up approaches can better support sustainability goals.

We will be organizing Urban LIving Labs in Cesena (IT), Cascais (PT), Antalya (TR), Alcorcon (ES), Roma (IT), Marseilles (FR), where we'll be engaging with stakeholders and citizens through workshops, games and guerrilla screenings.

Our aim is to raise awareness on sustainable energy production and reduced consumption, and more importantly, showcase inspiring examples of how communities can work towards change and sustainability.

Please note: This call is for films on subjects listed below, from any region or area in the world, and not limited to the Mediterranean region.

If you've created a documentary film on :

- The environmental impact of climate change on communities and society

- communities that have managed to cooperate towards sustainable, environmentally friendly, ecologically conscious, low-consumption living

- communities that collaborate towards self-sufficiency

- groups that share resources and collaborate towards sustainability and transformation

- or stories of alternative energy sources and their societal and environmental impact

and would like it to reach interested audiences, this is a perfect opportunity. If you live in or close to one of the cities listed above, we'd also love to invite you as a guest filmmaker to discuss your work and the themes you tackle, with the local community.
