In our fourth year, the Uplift Film Festival is going global!
We’re expanding our search for inspiring, hope-filled films that reveal truth and spark connection—stories that uplift hearts whether their tone is bright or shadowed.
While we proudly celebrate the incredible talent of our Four States region (Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma) with special awards of distinction, we now welcome submissions from filmmakers around the world.
Submit your film and join us in Webb City and Joplin, Missouri, March 18–20, 2027, for a chance to win one of 21 awards honoring cinematic storytelling that moves and inspires.

Our festival is also unique in that Great Wonders Productions selects films each month for Best of the Fest (https://www.upliftfilmfest.com/best-of-the-fest), screenings that highlight our festival winners to our local audience. Also, award-winning and selected filmmakers may opt in for additional revenue opportunities through rental and film purchases on our streaming platform, Uplift Film Channel (https://upliftfilms.vhx.tv/). The possibilities all begin with an entry to the Great Wonders Uplift Film Festival!

For those attending our festival in person, consider staying at the Sleep Inn in Webb City (221 S E St, Webb City, MO 64870), a sponsor of our festival! Reach out to us for information on special rates.

NOTE: Though you must choose a category for your submission, you will be eligible for any award that our jury feels your film fits. For this reason, it's unnecessary to submit to more than one category.

2. All filmmakers should provide detailed information of your submissions regarding sources, the creators, and background information as requested by Great Wonders Productions.

5. All submissions should adhere to the content standards of a PG-13 or lower rating (including those of nudity, profanity, sexuality, and violence) with the exception of projects that appropriately address mature subject matter that would warrant a higher rating (for example, a film on the topic of human trafficking may appropriately warrant an R rating due to the subject matter) . The jury reserves the right to disqualify any films it considers to be outside these standards.

6. Submissions must not portray Great Wonders Productions in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Great Wonders Productions.

7. Videos must be in the English language or include English subtitles.

8. Films may be awarded in multiple categories based on merit.

9. Student film submissions are not restricted by age but must have been made by students enrolled in high school or college at the time of production. Submissions may be made by individuals 16 and older. Those who were high school students at the time of submission must specify this upon registration. Please contact us with questions.

10. All submitted films must have been completed during or after 2024. Older films may be submitted for out of competition selection.

11. Short films must be no longer than 39 minutes and 59 seconds. Films 40 minutes and over in length are considered features.

These requirements also apply to any subsequent exhibition through Great Wonders Productions, including but not limited to Best of the Fest screenings and Uplift Films Channel.
