ENTRY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Festival accepts applications in the following formats: film, video or digital and in the following categories: Fiction, Animation, Documentary and Experimental, features, or shorts.
The director/producer with the submission of his/her application accepts the terms of the Festival and has no objection to the submission process, screening, and election of prizes.
The director/producer with the submission of the film affirms that he/she has all the copyrights of audio, video, images and music of the film and he remains responsible before the law.
Applicant hereby grants UIFF to use all or part(s) of the film for promotional purposes; to use stills, biographical material etc., from the film for promotional purposes in Festival program and merchandise, to provide promotional material of the film for journalists to review, to show the film at press screenings and to exhibit the film during the Festival and at any time before and after the Festival.
Films in competition must have been completed after May 2014. Feature films may not be shorter than seventy (70) minutes in length. Short films may not exceed thirty (30) minutes in length.
A completed and signed entry form must be accompanied by an English language dialogue list. All entries, short or feature length, must be submitted on DVD for the purposes of preview if submitted by postal mail, or compliant with the technical requirements, if submitted through FilmFreeway and/or others.
All non-English language films must be submitted with English subtitles. To qualify for selection, all non-English language films must have an English language link/disc available. All films must be available for festival screening in HD quality, Blu-Ray or DCP format.
A separate entry form must be submitted for each film if submitted by postal mail.
Applicants must apply clearly for each one of new services. Fill the appropriate field in the entry form.
Ineligible or incomplete entry forms will not be accepted.
Entries must be submitted by March 1st, 2016.
All participants will be notified via e-mail and on the UIFF website before the festival. Shipping instructions for films selected for competition will be included upon notification.
All prints will be insured for the period that they are in the festival's possession. In the case of loss or damage during this period, the festival is only responsible for the replacement value of the print.
Only prints in perfect condition for projection will be accepted.
