Category A: Best Short Film
You are encouraged to submit your original short film to this category if it falls under 35 minutes long. Please refrain from submitting films to this category if they exceed the time limit stated without prior permission from the programming team.
Category B: Best Feature Film
You are encouraged to submit your original feature film to this category if it falls under 95 minutes long. Please refrain from submitting films to this category if they exceed the time limit stated without prior permission from the programming team.
Category C: Best Actor
You are encouraged to submit your original film to this category if it's under 85 minutes long. Only one actor can be awarded for this category. Please refrain from submitting films to this category if they exceed the time limit stated without prior permission from the programming team.
Category D: Best Budget Film
You are encouraged to submit your original budget film to this category if it falls under 45 minutes long. The Best Budget Film category is open for all films that have been produced without a budget** Please note that we can only choose two films from this category.

We are unable to offer feedback in case of rejection for this category.
The event:
Guest list: You will receive an invitation for two if your film is selected to be screened at the festival. Kindly note that any additional guests will be required to obtain their own paid tickets.
Age restrictions: There is no age limit to attend the festival, although guests must follow the age classification system for each film.
Entry refusal: Our staff reserve the right to withdraw your ticket at any time during or before the event. Kindly be respectful towards our staff.
Terms and conditions:
USED Youth Film Festival judgment is final. A copy of the judging report will only be offered on-demand and it could take up to 45 days to process your request. Kindly email info@usedyouth.com with your film tracking number in the subject to request feedback.
SEC(1) - If your film is selected to be added to the USED Youth film festival show, we will send you an acceptance email and request a digital transfer of your film. The file must be collected by the date stated in the acceptance email, or your film may be disqualified.
By submitting your film, you give consent to USED Youth Film Festival and USD Studios LLC to promote your digital work online and across our social media accounts. You may withdraw your permission by emailing info@usedyouth.com
Please note that our festival may be filmed and pictured for commercial purposes; this won't intervene with the festival. By attending the festival you give consent for your image and/or picture to be taken.
SEC(2) - Please note that the USED Youth Film Festival may restrict viewing of your film to people over certain ages if we believe that your film may not be suitable for the general audience;
The USED Youth Film Festival age classification system:
U: Appropriate for the general audience
12: Recommended for guests over the age of 12
16: Recommended for guests over the age of 16
R: Restricted viewing for guests under 18
Films that include any of the following materials will NOT be selected to screen at the USED Youth Film Festival and you won't be issued a refund:
Real violence
Real sexual abuse
Real child endangerment or child abuse
Pornography
Animal cruelty or animal abuse
This includes documentaries depicting any of the above.
SEC(3) - Your film must be exported in the following formats: MP4 or MOV. You may also send us a .prproj file in certain circumstances.
SEC(4) - USED Youth Film Festival reserves the right to disqualify films without a refund in the instance that we don't receive the appropriate video format.
SEC(5) - By submitting a film, you agree that you own all the rights of the film and its contains, including but not limited to music, screenplay, personalities, and any depiction of general copyrighted materials.
- Please be aware that a student ID is required if you submitted your film using the student fee. You'll be asked to send a copy of your student ID.
