UConn Student Television (UCTV) is excited to announce it's first annual UCTV Film Festival, a celebration of creativity and stoytelling through the medium of film. Scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 11 am to 3 pm, this event promises to be an engaging and dynamic showcase of emerging talents in filmmaking.

Since 1991, UConn Student Television (UCTV) has been the official student-run television station for the University of Connecticut Storrs campus. UCTV provides learning opportunities to students interested in content production and traditional broadcasting through the creation of original student-made content that prepares them for future endeavors in the media industry.

We aim to foster collaboration and celebrate the diverse talents of emerging student filmmakers through hosting this event. This year's festival will be held on UConn's Storrs Campus, located in the Lawrence McHugh Building Room 102. University students from Connecticut schools are encouraged and eligible to submit their films, regardless of experience.

NOTE: Students not enrolled at the University of Connecticut will be subject to a flat $10 entry fee to cover the cost of the Audience's Choice Grand Prize. More information about the submission fee can be found by visiting the Film Festival tab on our site, https://uctv14.com

Filmmakers whose submissions are accepted will receive a notification via email by April 15th, providing them time to prepare and travel for this eagerly anticipated event.
