The mission of the Tulane Student Film Festival is to foster a culture of filmmaking and cinema appreciation on campus, celebrate the diverse talents of student filmmakers and cultivate meaningful connections for their success in the dynamic film landscape of New Orleans and beyond.

Multiple awards and prizes will be presented to winning shorts.

We are accepting short format student films from current students at Tulane University. Short format film is defined as having a maximum total running time of 15 minutes or less including all credits.

All student filmmakers must provide proof of Tulane attendance. Student IDs can be attached to your film on the View Projects tab, under Files & Attachments.

All submissions must include a film still and synopsis.

All filmmakers are limited to 2 total submissions.

All work must be your own. No plagiarism.

Filmmaker must have played a key role in the film's production (director, writer, director of photography, producer).

Rough cut or work-in-progress submissions are allowed. If you submit a work-in-progress, please indicate in your synopsis what elements of your project are incomplete.

If your film is selected, a final cut will be due on April 10th. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the film not being screened.
