Trisentona Film Festival celebrates the magic of cinema with an array of indie films, celebrating films from a diverse background of indie filmmakers whether emerging or established. Dive into the world of storytelling, the raw, the emotive and the sublime.

Trisentona Film Festival is ran by award winning filmmakers and industry professionals. We aim to give a voice to the untold stories of the world, offering an outlet and a vibrant platform for filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike connecting people through the power of film.

We are supporters of independent filmmakers and are committed to promoting voices from a diverse background, giving filmmakers the power to explore boundaries, open up conversations and tell their stories whether this be through raw emotion, horror and sci fi or music- we accept all genres.

We have some fantastic judges on board for 2026 that have years of relevant industry experience.

Judges:
Andy Ellis- Known for his role as the loveable 'Gadget' in Shane Meadow's ''This is England'. Most recently seen in ITV's 'The walk in'. Andy is also a writer and director and own his own production company ODD films.

Kelsey Kronenberg- First Assistant camera having worked for many years on High end TV drama. Known for 'Clarkson's farm', 'Father Brown', 'Sister Boniface Mysteries' , 'Doctors'.

Giannis Mihos- Sound Recordist, Sound Designer, Composer and Audio Forensics Specialist. He has attended the Cannes Film Festival as an invited industry professional and has worked there as a production sound recordist specialist on the red carpet. Credits across feature films and documentaries, he also teaches music and composes for screen.

We offer Q and A sessions with filmmakers within the event and encourage networking amongst the creatives attending.

In addition to the above categories, additional prizes may be awarded on the day for selected films, such as, Best Poster, Best BTS, Best Trailer. This will be at the judges discretion.

1.Eligibility Criteria

– Film Categories: We accept submissions in the following categories:
– Short Films, any genre (up to 40 minutes)
– Music Videos
– Year of Production: Films must have been completed within the past three years.
– Premier Status: No premier policy
– Previous Submissions: Films that have previously been submitted to the festival are not eligible unless significant changes have been made.

2.Film Length
-Micro Shorts: Must not exceed 5 minutes, including credits
– Short Films: Must not exceed 40 minutes, including credits.

3. Language Requirements
– Films not in English must include English subtitles.
– Dialogue-driven films in English with heavy accents are encouraged to provide English subtitles for clarity.

4. Submission Format
-All entries must be submitted via the FilmFreeway website.
– All films must be of standard cinema aspect ratio and resolution with a minimum of 1080hd resolution.
– Physical copies or physical media are not accepted.

5. Copyright and Permissions
– The filmmaker must hold all necessary rights for the film, including music and other media used within the film.
– By submitting, filmmakers acknowledge they have full rights to the film and indemnify the festival from any legal claims regarding intellectual property rights.

6. Selection Process
– All submissions are reviewed by an independent jury panel composed of industry professionals.
– The festival selection committee reserves the right to disqualify films that do not adhere to the submission guidelines.
– If selected, filmmakers will be notified by email and must submit promotional materials (e.g., poster, trailer) within the given deadline.

7. Screening and Exhibition
– Selected films will be screened during the festival, which will take place in Staffordshire in September 2026.
– The festival reserves the right to screen selected films more than once during the event.
– Filmmakers are invited to attend the screenings and participate in Q&A sessions, though attendance is not mandatory.

8. Submission Fees
– Fees are non-refundable and must be paid at the time of submission.
– Special discounts or fee waivers may be offered under specific circumstances, which will be announced through our official channels.

9. Scheduling
Screenings are scheduled during the Festival at the discretion of Trisentona Film Festival. Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, Trisentona Film Festival reserves the right to make changes at any time for any reason. Trisentona Film Festival will not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in scheduling.
No film may be withdrawn from the festival programme after its selection.

10. Other Rules
-By agreeing to participate in the Trisentona Film Festival, submitters and filmmakers grant the rights to utilise an excerpt from any film submitted for promotional purposes of the festival. The individual or production company submitting the film hereby warrants its use for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements, rules and regulations.
– All decisions regarding selection and awards are final and non-negotiable.

11. Code of Conduct
– The Trisentona Film Festival is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful environment for all participants. Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
– By submitting your film, you agree to comply with Trisentona's code of conduct and festival rules.
