The Festival of Animated Films Düsseldorf will enter its third round on 24.09.22-25.09.22. At various locations in downtown Düsseldorf, we show international artists who deal with the topics of animation, animated film and motion design in very different ways. From classically drawn and animated shorts to abstract computer and AI generated video works, Trickfilm Festival Düsseldorf will showcase a wide range of styles, techniques and approaches representing the diversity of contemporary animation art.

In addition, we use the festival as an interactive space to explore the techniques and background of animation. Our program includes workshops around the topic of animation and lectures by creative personalities who give us insights into their creative process.

We will present the official selection of this year's open call winners over two days in selected locations in downtown Düsseldorf, Germany.

Our goal with the festival is to bring your animation to a large audience and to express it in various forms throughout the weekend. From open air screenings to classical cinema and exhibition spaces, the selected animations will find their perfect place to be shown.

In addition, we will announce the winners through our social media channels and website.
