Tootsie's Video Vault is a local, live festival at a venue in Brooklyn that focuses on new and original comedy content made for the show! Produced by a collective of comedy writers and producers in New York City, the focus is on featuring local filmmakers making fresh films.

There are 3 categories:

Hidden Gems are traditional, previously finished videos ready to be screened! We prioritize unreleased videos, but we are flexible. If this video is also a work-in-progress, that will work as long as it's ready by the show. We are targeting videos around 3-5 minutes.

Fresh Cuts are videos that are still just a twinkle in your eye! Looking for an excuse to make that idea of yours? If selected, you'll be tasked with the joy of creating something fresh and new for the show, like any other film cram except you get months! The target length is around 3 minutes.

And our newest format, Tasty Bites are a batch of fresh 60 seconds or less videos made solely for the show!

Rules & Terms

We are not accepting vertical video.

Because this is a festival focused on people creating original shorts just in time for the show, we are heavily dependent on people not dropping out!

Entries are free, but once accepted, you will be asked to pay a fee of 15$ to pay for our judges, prize pool, and secure against dropouts. It also counts for one comp to the show.

And to make it clear, please do not submit if you cannot come see your work screened!
