ANIMATION SCREENINGS: A dedicated venue for screening of animated shorts. The evening will end with a screening of "Howl If You Love Me" by John R Dilworth

The Shamokin Film Festival showcases unique talent from the area. Like a diamond in the rough of the coal mountains, you'll be sure to find a rare gem of creativity in the form of a short film while discovering the beauty of the Shamokin area.

For now, the event is focused on short-form content; films under 20 minutes, but we would consider a feature if it stands out and is unique to the Shamokin area.

Rules & Terms

All submissions must be original works completed within the past 3 years.

All films must be under 20 minutes. If you have a feature film that you are interested in submitting, it must be either made in Shamokin or feature the area. Screening time and space are currently limited for feature-length films.

By submitting, the entrant confirms they hold all necessary rights to the film and that all video, audio, music, and other included content is fully cleared for festival exhibition. Entry fees are final and non-refundable.
