The Powerscourt Edit
A curated selection of Wicklow short films in an iconic setting

Made in Wicklow and Screen Wicklow are proud to open submissions for The Powerscourt Edit, a special three-day screening event as part of For the Love of Craft: A Month at Powersourt this coming February 2026. Taking place in the Garden Room of the Powerscourt Estate over St. Brigid’s weekend, this curated selection of short films, all made in Wicklow or made by Wicklow directors will welcome the public to enjoy the wealth of film talent in the Garden County.

Rules & Terms

Entry criteria:

- A short film is defined for this selection as 30 minutes or less.

- Shorts should be made in Wicklow and / or the director or writer should be based in / born in Wicklow.

- Entry is open to films made since 2022.

- Curated selections will include the opportunity to talk and / or participate in a panel discussion / Q&A.

    It was wonderful to have our film 'Seven Moments in Time' selected and screened at the Powerscourt Edit. It was a lovely opportunity for people living in County Wicklow or with a Wicklow connection to see films that also had a strong Wicklow connection to come to see films with engaging stories, stunning backdrops and amazing talent being screened. Our film was 100% made in County Wicklow, so it is extra special to see it screened in the county. Thank you to Made in Wicklow for this opportunity and I hope to see more films at this event in the future.
