In a world where DIVERSITY and INCLUSION have become taboo, THE MARGINALIZED MEDIA SHOWCASE for MARGINALIZED SHORT FILMS exists to represent the belief that ALL points of view are valid, important, and worth of consideration.

If you are a film-maker from any marginalized community who has created a short film of any length shorter than 30 minutes your film is important and your voice matters

### Submission Requirements

**All films must be 30 minutes or less in length and must be written, directed, filmed by, or include in the cast members of a marginalized community as defined below.
Marginalized communities refer to groups of people who experience social, economic, and/or political exclusion or discrimination based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, or religion.

**Language:** Non-English submissions must include subtitles or dubbing.

**Authorization:** The individual or corporation submitting warrants they are authorized to submit the film for screening and understand and accept all festival requirements and regulations.

**Entry Acceptance:** The competition reserves the right to refuse entries without waivers.

**Materials:** DVDs will not be returned.

### Promotional Rights

By submitting, you grant MARGINALIZED MEDIA rights to use excerpts from any film submitted and accepted for competition for promotional purposes. Clips from winning entries may be streamed on the Marginalized Media social media accounts.

### Official Selection Process

**What "Official Selection" Means:** When you receive an official selection notification, it means your film has passed through the stringent acceptance process (by the selection judges) and is now ready to be screened.
