Beneath the piping veins of Los Angeles lays a film festival that dedicates itself to the indie filmmaker. Here at the LA THRILLER FILM FEST we are seeking out the cutting edge film makers that are interested in pouring their beating hearts onto the screen, spotlighting the filmmakers that make you dream, feel, and evoke that powerful feeling of suspense. We welcome you to the Los Angeles Thriller Film Festival. Now accepting submissions for experimental films, shorts films, screenplays, and feature length films. Here’s to a great year of new cinema! Let's bring the fire back to the screen!

Awards & Prizes

1st and 2nd place winners in each category will receive an award diploma certificate and cash price of $1500 and $1000 respectively.

There are also other consolation prizes that will be announced later on.

Rules & Terms

Short films must have a maximum runtime of 30minutes

Feature films must have a minimum runtime of 45minutes

Films in a foreign language must be accompanied by an English subtitle

All genres of films are welcome to submit.

Submission materials will not be returned

Each submission must have its submission fee. Filmmakers are free to submit as many projects as possible.

Selected filmmakers are encouraged to be present at the festival's award night

The Los Angeles Thriller Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The Competition reserves the right to refuse entries.
