The Los Angeles Spotlight Film Festival was founded by film enthusiasts who believe in the power of the indie film maker and the importance of spotlighting the indie film market. We stay true to the belief that the true stories of impact and heart come from the independent film maker. Not only the film maker that has a celebrity name attached or a blockbuster budget but most importantly a story to tell. Spotlighting a young, fresh and exciting perspective to today’s world of cinema, our goal is to shed light on the provocative and innovative films in all genres.

With 9 categories ranging from shorts, experimental, documentaries, and feature films we seek out the cutting edge film makers and award you with a platform to showcase your work. With multiple screenings and awards given out in all categories. Our motto at the LASFF is that artists are the beating pulse of the world. Rules & Terms

The LASFF will not return any submission materials.

Each submission must have its own submission fee.

Films in a foreign Language must be subtitled in English

Films are welcome from all over the world

Film must have a maximum runtime of 30 minutes for a short film and a minimum runtime of 45 minutes for a feature film.

The Los Angeles Spotlight Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The Competition reserves the right to refuse entries. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless The Los Angeles Spotlight Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. Entries will not be returned.
