The Lift - Short Film Festival is an annual event for independent filmmakers and artists from all over the world!

Our festival’s aim is to promote the visibility of short films of all genres and styles internationally, and create connections between artists, producers, directors, actors, writers and many others that have interesting stories to share.

We are preparing for a great Short Film Festival! We’ll be showcasing short films from around the world on August 29, 2021 (location still to be determined).

For the short films that will arrive in the final phase, the following types of PRIZES will be awarded:

Audience Award ($150)
Expert Jury Prize ($250)
Best Actress Award (diploma sent by email)
Best Actor Award (diploma sent by email)
Best Director Award (diploma sent by email)

The competition is open to individuals, groups and associations.

Minors who wish to participate must be authorized by a parent or by whoever exercises parental authority.

The competition has free theme.

The maximum file size you can send is 128GB, which lasts up to 30 minutes.

There are no limits or restrictions regarding the shooting format.

Before the start of the short, it is mandatory to include the following information: title of the film, name of the director and production of the crew/single, genre, and timing.

Dialogues in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.

The accepted formats are: mp4, avi, and mov. Short films that cannot be viewed will not be accepted.

Minimum resolution, 1920x1080px for videos with 16: 9 aspect ratio and a resolution of at least 640 x 480px for videos with 4: 3 aspect ratio.

A cover image, size 1280x720px, can be sent with the video.

Non-original music must MANDATORY be licensed.

The music used must appear in the credits.

The short films sent must NOT contain:

pornographic material.
racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, misandric instigations.
defamation of persons and/or organizations.
violation of privacy (The Lift is not responsible for any violation of privacy).
violations of the laws in force in America.
royalty-free material.

The organization reserves the right to disqualify projects that do not comply with the rules listed.
