The George A. Romero Foundation is dedicated to supporting emerging artists. As part of our Women’s History Month celebrations, we’re excited to showcase YOUR horror art! We’re accepting submissions in the form of short films.

On March 20th at 7 PM, we will host a virtual panel discussion featuring the top four submitted films, with opening remarks from Suzanne Romero and moderated by Tina Romero - Director of Queens of the Dead.

Prior to the event, a curated YouTube playlist of the selected films will be made available through a password-protected link, distributed 72 hours before the panel. This will give everyone the chance to watch the films and come prepared with questions and insights for the discussion.

Submissions close 2/28/26 at midnight EST.

I had a wonderful time sharing my film with The George A. Romero Foundation Women in Horror Film Festival. I love to see support for women in the horror film genre and my interactions with everyone who participated in the festival, as a coordinator or filmmaker, was absolutely fantastic. Thank you!
