The Filmjoint

ELIGIBILITY

1. Short films that are yet to be released or screened on any platform

2. Short films must be between 5mins to 30mins with complete screen credits.

3. Short films must have adequate English subtitles if released in a language other than English.

4. Resolution - 1080p, Aspect Ratio - 16:9, Codec - H264, Audio Channel - Stereo, Sample Rate - 48khz

5. All Music/Sounds used must be original or copyright-free.

NOTE: Short Films that are selected would have to be resubmitted in DCP format;

SELECTIONS & JURY
Short Films are critically judged by an independent jury, composed of notable industry professionals from different countries. They will select the short films that will make it to the Premieres.

AGREEMENT TO TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE FILMJOINT PREMIERES SUBMISSION
By submitting your project for consideration to The Filmjoint Premieres 2026, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. You have read and accepted the guidelines and requirements for submission as outlined on this platform.

2. You certify that you hold all necessary rights to the submitted project and have obtained any required permissions for materials included in your project.

3. You grant The Filmjoint the right to evaluate your project for selection and, if selected, to publicly showcase it as part of The Filmjoint Premieres.

4. Selection for The Filmjoint Premieres does not guarantee a nomination for The Filmjoint Awards, but films that makes the top ten finalists are granted direct eligibility for awards submission consideration. Additional submission steps may apply for award nominations.

5. Filmmakers whose films are Nominated will also have the opportunity to request a distribution agreement with The Filmjoint. This agreement, if entered into, will explore avenues to distribute the project across various VOD platforms.

6. Submission does not guarantee selection or screening, and decisions made by The Filmjoint selection team are final.

7. If selected, you will be required to provide additional materials (e.g., promotional assets) and agree to participate in activities related to the premiere, such as panel discussions or Q&A sessions, as requested by The Filmjoint.

8. The Filmjoint reserves the right to rescind selection or screening invitations at its sole discretion should any submission violate the outlined guidelines.
