A Melbourne Film Festival with a difference.

Not only will we be supporting Melbourne filmmakers with an audience screening but you will be supporting the festival director with his latest filmmaking effort.

We’re raising funds for our short film “MORGAN”.
But we are not raising funds to make it. In fact it’s completed!
Post production has been signed off on. So why are we asking for your hard earned cash?

Film festival submissions are costly. So what better way to get our first screening by having the audacity to start our own film festival. This way we can screen our short film with selected submissions that we will receive in front of a live audience. Our film "Morgan" will screen out of competition on the night.

Think of it as a "pay it forward" event, where you are helping a fellow Australian filmmaker who in turn is helping other filmmakers by hosting this event.

All Australian short films accepted as long as they are under ten minutes. This includes documentaries. No time requirement on when the film was made.

At this stage we will be screening it at the Alex Theatre, St Kilda which will be confirmed shortly.

Laurels will be given for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Editing.

We are working on getting more prizes for the filmmakers which will be announced when confirmed.

All proceeds will go towards our film submissions for selected film festivals for our short film “MORGAN” which will screen out of selection on the night.

Please contact us at audacityfilmfestival@gmail.com if you would like to be a sponsor for our film festival in regards to prizes.

Laurels will be given to Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Editing and Best Cinematography.

Judges on the night will be filmmakers Andre Octavio, Natalie Spence and Jerry Creaney. Award judging will occur on the night.
