The Academy of Independent Motion Pictures and its Award, The Percy Award for Film, is dedicated to the highest standard of excellence which will always recognize the very best performances of film, regardless of the backing or budget of a film or performance. The Percy Award for Film Categories are: Spirit & Strength, Creativity, Original Screenplay, Short Film, Music, Makeup, Costume Design, International Feature, Editing, Documentary, Directing, Cinematography, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor, Production Design & Best Picture. The Percy Awards for Film will occur LIVE in Austin, Texas, in April of 2024.

Awards & Prizes

The Percy ( + Press Kit). A work of art Medal that is known for signifying authentic, true excellence in film. The Percy Award for Film is named after renowned & respected Texas oil on canvas artist, the late Percy Moore. Mr. Moore was known for his paintings, love of cinema & the arts, and for being kind to people of all backgrounds.

Rules & Terms

The fee to submit film work for consideration in any category of the AIMP and for The Percy Award for Film is $75. The AIMP asks each film artist and/or film company to submit a 60 second trailer (maximum) showcasing their work for consideration. The trailer will be submitted to FilmFreeway and will be reviewed privately and individually by all seven Governors of the Academy of Independent Motion Pictures. Out of all submissions to the AIMP, there will be four nominees in each of the 18 Categories. Once nominees are selected, each nominated work will be asked to submit the entire (film's) performance. Finally, 18 film performances will take home The Percy for Excellence in Film. All submissions to the AIMP are final. ANY budget (big or small) of any film performance is Welcome. Thank you.
