Thank you for selecting our film "This Land Is" for screening. Expensive festival, no filmmaker passes, the gala is well done and their award trophy is gorgeous (wish I would have won one!)

Really well put together festival. Really grateful to show my short film to a full audience in a regal theater. Sound and picture was amazing.

  • I was unable to attend due to a last minute work conflict, but the communication from Lori and Jeff were stellar. And seriously who gets a personal phone call from the board. This festival is one to watch, I have no doubt they will be around for a long time.

The Tarzana International Film Festival receives a 5-star rating! The Cast and Crew from Death by King Cake were honored to make the final in this one-of-a-kind film fest. Jeff and the TIFF Staff did a remarkable job!

  • We were happy to have our film selected, and the team that attended had a good time. The venue was great, and the organizers were quick to respond to questions/concerns, and were generous with their time.

The biggest negative is that there is a paywall behind every aspect of the festival. They don't offer filmmaker passes, and you must pay to attend your own screening or to be part of the red carpet on opening night. In order to receive an award, you must attend a ceremony, and tickets to that started at $125 each this year.

Hopefully they will reverse all of that going forward, but if not, I would encourage them to clearly disclose this upfront during the submission process.
