*Coronavirus Update

SUBMISSIONS WILL REMAIN OPEN!

We will be holding our bi-monthly "Movie Night" Film Festival, and our "Industry Night" Member Meetings Online for the foreseeable future. More details to come.

Tampa Bay Film Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Tampa Bay, FL. Our members pay low annual dues, and many are active in the film business, from actors to crew

We host a bi-monthly screening (at the Holiday Inn Express in Oldsmar, FL)

All foreign films must have English subtitles

The months in-between serve as our General Member Meeting where we have an Industry Guest Speaker

We screen our members works and the works of local filmmakers. However, we would like to expand the festival to include works from around the globe

We offer an awards certificate to the best-liked film of the evening, as judged by the members and members of the public in attendance after the screenings are completed.

*Content Restriction Update

We are not currently screening works containing nudity or soft or hardcore pornography. We reserve the right to consider "borderline" entries on a case-by-case basis

The Tampa Bay Film Society Board of Directors will choose which short and/or feature-length films will screen at our Movie Night

The filmmaker has ONE WEEK to reply with a link to download a (2GB or Under) MP4 of their entry to screen

The best thing to do is just to make the film readily available for download, so we don't even need to contact you to ask for a link

Thank you for selecting our short film “The McHenry Trial – Don’t Judge a Kid by Their Hoodie,” to be included in the Tampa Bay Film Society's Movie Night. The event is well-organized with great communication. May the festival continue to provide filmmakers a platform that fosters creativity and self expression.
