Hello and welcome to the SEVA Take 4 Film Festival! SEVA (South East Virginia) is an organization dedicated to helping aspiring artists and creative people achieve their goals. Founded in 2014 in Hampton Roads, the SEVA objective is to celebrate the collection of the film, music, arts, entertainment and various creative industries in the region with event sessions, showcases, screenings, exhibitions, and a variety of networking opportunities.

Aimed at aspiring creatives and professionals, SEVA invites those with a desire to network with their peers, to discover new talent, and to better learn the creative technologies, techniques, and tools of the industry. And we are continuing on this year with our Take 4 Film Festival!

The Take 4 Film Festival is a competitive submission based festival taking place on Saturday, October 5th (Location, TBA). We are seeking the very best short films from the following categories: comedy, drama, thriller/suspense & documentary. We are asking for all submissions to be no more than 15 MINUTES LONG, and we will be screening up to 3 films for each of the categories.

Best Director
Best Actor
Best Actress
Best Cinematography
Best Screenplay
Best Production Design
Best Editing

Rules & Terms

Here are some quick parameters about the submissions:

-All films must have been completed by no earlier than February 1st, 2018.
-No film with offensive or explicit content (any nudity, excessive violence, coarse language, etc.) will be considered for selection.
-Films selections & awards will be determined solely by the SEVA Film Festival.
-Each film has to be at least 1 minute long and cannot be more than 15 minutes in length. (Run-time includes credits)
-Only films that meet the criteria for their respective categories will be considered for selection.
-Films that have been publicly screened will not be considered for selection. However, films that have been privately screened will still be considered.
-Only films shot on location in Southeastern Virginia will be considered for selection.
-SEVA Film Festival reserves the right to disqualify or deny submissions based off of
failure to adhere to aforementioned parameters.
