Terms And Conditions

By submitting, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Screening agreement: If selected as a finalist, you consent to have your film screened at the Queen Theatre in Bryan, TX, the Igloo Studio at Texas A&M University, and/or a VR space during the TIME Fest.

Promotional rights: By submitting, you grant the TIME Fest the right to use an excerpt from your video for promotional purposes if your video is accepted for screening at the festival.

Indemnification: By submitting, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the TIME Fest from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees and court costs) arising from any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the submitted screening videos.

Selection Process

The Selection Committee comprises a diverse group of directors, producers, and artists. This committee is responsible for evaluating and selecting videos across all submission categories. Every video that meets the submission criteria is thoroughly reviewed and judged by the committee. Applicants will be notified of their video’s selection status by the posted date, via email.

Festival And Films Promotion

Rights holders grant the TIME Fest the right to reproduce excerpts of their films for promotional purposes without compensation. These excerpts will be limited to 10 percent of the film’s duration and will not exceed 1 minute. Additionally, stills, posters, synopses, and other related texts may be used for promotional purposes across various media platforms, including press and the Internet. Producers also guarantee that they possess the legal authority to grant these rights and have cleared all necessary rights related to the films, including, but not limited to, music rights.

Archive

By submitting your video, you consent to TIME Fest's use of your video for educational, promotional, and noncommercial activities. Videos archived by TIME Fest will never be shown or released online in whole without the direct consent of their owners. After the screening, we will delete all films from the online platform.

Preferred Submission Types

To ensure projects are presented in optimal quality, the preferred codec for video submissions is Apple ProRes 422. Submissions in other formats will also be accepted. We request that all submissions include a stereo audio mix. Depending on venue capabilities, limited presentations may support 5.1 surround sound.

Acceptance Of Conditions

Submitting a video to the TIME Fest implies the full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
