Welcome to the 1st TEZPUR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (TIFF) 2024

Tezpur, a town situated on the banks of the River Brahmaputra in the North Eastern part of India, is well known for its Rich and influential cultural heritage. The town has been the birth place and home to several renowned cultural icons, including Jyoti Prasad Agarwala (The pioneer of Assamese Cinema), Bishnu Prasad Rabha (who is also known as Kalaguru for his contribution to Assamese music & Cinema), Phani Sharma (who is also known as Natasurjya for his unparalleled contribution to the field of Drama). Modern Tezpur is a cultural and educational hub, home to a number of archaeological sites, temples and monuments. Festivals play a significant role in the cultural life of Tezpur. Bihu, the Assamese New Year & Harvest Festival, is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Tezpur. In summary, Tezpur is a town with a rich cultural heritage that has been shaped by its history, people, and traditions.

An International Film Festival in Tezpur would be a great way to celebrate the town's rich cultural heritage and promote the art and culture of the region and also allow International cultures to come and mingle with the local cultures.

The Tezpur International Film Festival is an initiative to provide an excellent platform to showcase the works of local film makers and artists and also to invite international film makers for cultural exchange and dialogue. The festival would feature a diverse range of films including documentaries, short films, and feature films exploring a wide range of diverse themes. The festival would also include workshops, panel discussions, and other events that would provide opportunities for both experienced and upcoming film makers and artists to engage with each other and share their experiences and perspectives.

* All short films, documentaries & feature Films produced after 1st January 2022 will be eligible for the festival.
* Short Films should have a running time of less than 40 Minutes including credit titles.
* Documentaries should have a running time of less than 60 Minutes including credit titles.
* Feature films should have a running time of more than 80 Minutes and less than 150 minutes including credit titles.
* Films and Documentaries should be in their original language.
* All Non English films and documentaries should have English subtitles.
* Multiple entries from a single participant can be submitted.
* Films and documentaries selected for final round will be screened at the festival.
* Award ceremony will be held at the end of the screenings.
* Entry fees paid will be non-refundable.
* Festival reserves the right to use posters and images of the submitted films for promotional activities of the festival.
* Decision of the jury members of the festival will be final and finding
