TERRAE Film Fest è un festival di cinema indipendente dedicato al dialogo tra persone, comunità e territori.
Il Festival promuove opere cinematografiche che esplorano il rapporto tra immagini, paesaggi e pratiche sociali, con particolare attenzione alle trasformazioni culturali, ambientali e simboliche del nostro tempo.
Giunto alla sua terza edizione, TERRAE Film Fest è promosso da Radici Erranti ETS e dall’Associazione Culturale Amici del Fondo Ranalli ODV, in collaborazione con Forte!Festival, Cinecircolo XXI CGS APS, Cineteatro Buonarroti e Civitafilm ETS.
L’edizione 2026 si svolgerà dal 9al 13 settembre 2026 nella Darsena di Civitavecchia.
IL TEMA : « TERRENI COMUNI »
« Terreni Comuni » è un’espressione che rimanda a ciò che è condiviso, ma anche a ciò che è conteso, attraversato e trasformato.
Il terreno non è mai una superficie neutra: è uno spazio stratificato, costruito nel tempo attraverso memorie, pratiche quotidiane, conflitti e relazioni.
Nel contesto del Festival, Terreni comuni diventa una chiave di lettura per osservare le relazioni tra persone, luoghi e immagini. Non indica un’idea astratta di comunità , ma un campo aperto di negoziazioni: territori frammentati che trovano senso nella relazione reciproca, superfici separate che si connettono attraverso gesti, racconti e visioni condivise.
Il cinema è inteso come spazio comune, capace di rendere visibili legami invisibili, tensioni latenti e possibilità di convivenza. Le opere selezionate mettono in discussione i confini tra privato e collettivo, tra appartenenza e attraversamento, tra memoria e trasformazione.
Terreni comuni non propone risposte definitive, ma apre domande. Invita a considerare il territorio come processo, il comune come pratica, l’immagine come strumento di relazione.
AMBITI DI RICERCA
Il Festival accoglie opere che affrontano, in modo diretto o trasversale, uno o piĂą dei seguenti ambiti di ricerca:
- rapporto tra comunitĂ e territorio;
- pratiche di cura, uso e riappropriazione dei luoghi;
- tensioni tra privato e collettivo, sfruttamento e tutela;
- paesaggi intesi come archivi viventi di memoria e trasformazione;
- forme di convivenza tra umano, naturale e costruito;
- patrimoni materiali e immateriali, tradizioni e saperi locali;
- territori marginali, aree in transizione e spazi di confine.

TERRAE Film Fest is an independent film festival dedicated to fostering dialogue between people, communities, and territories.
The Festival promotes cinematic works that explore the relationship between images, landscapes, and social practices, with particular attention to the cultural, environmental, and symbolic transformations of our time.
Now in its third edition, TERRAE Film Fest is promoted by Radici Erranti ETS and the cultural association Amici del Fondo Ranalli ODV, in collaboration with Forte!Festival, Cinecircolo XXI CGS APS, Cineteatro Buonarroti, and Civitafilm ETS.
The 2026 edition will take place from 9 to 13 September 2026 at the Darsena of Civitavecchia.
THE THEME: “COMMON GROUNDS”
“Common Grounds” is an expression that refers to what is shared, but also to what is contested, traversed, and transformed.
Ground is never a neutral surface: it is a layered space, shaped over time through memories, everyday practices, conflicts, and relationships.
Within the context of the Festival, Common Grounds becomes a lens through which to observe the relationships between people, places, and images. It does not point to an abstract idea of community, but rather to an open field of negotiation: fragmented territories that gain meaning through mutual relations, separate surfaces that connect through gestures, narratives, and shared visions.
Cinema is understood as a common space, capable of making visible invisible bonds, latent tensions, and possibilities for coexistence. The selected works question the boundaries between private and collective, belonging and passage, memory and transformation.
Common Grounds does not offer definitive answers; it opens questions. It invites us to consider territory as a process, the commons as a practice, and the image as a relational tool.
AREAS OF RESEARCH
The Festival welcomes works that address, directly or indirectly, one or more of the following research areas:
the relationship between community and territory;
- practices of care, use, and reappropriation of places;
- tensions between private and collective, exploitation and protection;
- landscapes understood as living archives of memory and transformation;
- forms of coexistence between human, natural, and built environments;
- tangible and intangible heritage, traditions, and local knowledge;
- marginal territories, transitional areas, and border spaces.

La Direzione del Festival nominerĂ due giurie qualificate e indipendenti, incaricate di assegnare i seguenti premi ufficiali, tra un totale di 10 cortometraggi selezionati:
- Premio TERRAE – Silvio Serangeli, attribuito al miglior cortometraggio selezionato, con un premio in denaro pari a € 500,00;
- Premio Nuove Radici, assegnato dalla Giuria Giovani del Cinecircolo XXI CGS APS al cortometraggio la cui tematica riesca maggiormente a sensibilizzare il pubblico giovane.
I premi in denaro saranno consegnati ai vincitori durante la cerimonia di premiazione e attribuiti al produttore o al regista, a discrezione della produzione o dell’autore.
L’importo sarà erogato tramite bonifico bancario entro il primo quadrimestre dell’anno successivo, previo invio delle coordinate bancarie del beneficiario.
Il giudizio delle giurie del Festival è insindacabile.
Le giurie si riservano la facoltĂ di assegnare menzioni speciali (riconoscimenti non monetari) e/o premi ex aequo, qualora lo ritengano opportuno.

The Festival Direction will appoint two qualified and independent juries, responsible for awarding the following official prizes, from a total of 10 selected short films:
- TERRAE Award – Silvio Serangeli, granted to the best selected short film, with a cash prize of €500.00;
- New Roots Award, assigned by the Youth Jury of Cinecircolo XXI CGS APS to the short film whose theme most effectively engages and raises awareness among young audiences.
The cash prizes will be presented to the winners during the award ceremony and awarded to either the producer or the director, at the discretion of the production or the author.
The prize money will be paid by bank transfer within the first four months of the following year, upon receipt of the beneficiary’s bank details.
The decisions of the Festival juries are final and not subject to appeal.
The juries reserve the right to award special mentions (non-monetary recognitions) and/or ex aequo prizes, should they deem it appropriate.
