Symbiotic Film Festival is one of the biggest showcases of film cinema in Ukraine. Our festival is home to talented filmmakers from all over the world for unexpected and exciting films in different genres and forms. We want to encourage and support all moviegoers who are dedicated to the magic of cinema and filmmaking. Our festival is dedicated to the discovery and promotion of international film and screenplay projects.
Our academic juries primarily evaluate film and screenplay projects. Winners will be announced via FFW and official social media. We believe in the power of independent filmmaking. You are invited to this unique organization where we bring your strength and our festival together.

Rules & Terms

- All short films are accepted with a maximum length of 40 minutes. Over 40 mins are suitable for Feature category.
- The films must include English subtitles (unless the spoken language is English).
- Entry fees are non-refundable.
- You cannot withdraw your submission after the official selection announcement.
- All films must have been made in or after 2010.
- We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions.
- Extreme nudity films will be banned.

    To be honest, I was expecting a different evaluation compared to all the awards that *The Blue Above and the Gold Within* is winning around the world thanks to the very young Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics champion who is the protagonist of this documentary; as the saying goes, ‘no one is a prophet in their own land’!
