Swahili International Film Festival & Awards (Siff Awards) was established to promote films, web/tv series in Swahili language. The number of Swahili speakers is estimated to be 200 million and growing day by day. Siff Awards aims at growing these numbers by promoting content in Swahili.

Rules & Terms

All project to be submitted must be 70% in Swahili language. Films with other languages MUST have Swahili subtitles for the non-swahili dialogues.
The entity submitting the film/Web/Tv series must hold all legal rights for the submission, as well as all necessary clearances for public exhibition.
The Filmmaker/s retain/s all submission and intellectual property rights.
Films completed before 1st January 2023 are eligible for consideration.
If a Film is selected to screen at the festival, you will be requested to provide high-quality Film. Please do not send until your film is selected and we have informed you to do so.
Siff Awards reserves the right to use images from films selected in the Festival for marketing purposes.

    Ilikuwa nzuri lakin nadhan mwakan utafutwe ukumbi wa kufanyia screening ambao hauingizi mwangaza pili usiku wa tuzo ufanyike katika uwanza wa nje hapo paandaliwe red carpet sehemu ya mtu kupokea ambayo itapambwa na pannel za swahili kila filamu kuandaliwe jukwaa la kupokea na maonesho mengine itakapooneshwa wenye filamu hao kama wapo wapate nafasi ya kuzungumza hii ndio njia nzuri ya kujenga urafiki baina ya waandaaji filam watu wamuziki wafanye sound chekup mapema kuondosha usumbufu wakati wa kutizama filamu
