From The Farsighted, the home of Pottstown PA's celebrated DIY skate-film-music-fun-fest Skate or Die Film Fest, 2025 will bring a new type of hybrid event. With a live awards night and watch party, genre film fans worldwide will be able to participate in 10 days of streaming films, Q&As, games, giveaways, music videos, a spooky photo gallery, contests, and more!

The streaming portion of our first Stream or Die Film Fest will take place beginning on on Friday, May 16th. We will kick things off will have our kick off party and awards at Ringing Rocks Roller Rink in Pottstown, PA. This inaugural festival will be called "Stream a Little Stream", with a focus on fun, wacky, unique, and dreamlike genre fare. We plan to have different focuses each night, with divergence from genre film, as well - including poignant documentaries and more traditional dramatic works.

Full schedule will be posted at The Farsighted, as well as info for online and in person tickets. We apologize for the delay in announcements and appreciate your patience. All questions can be sent directly to festival director Justin Harlan at streamordiefestival@gmail.com or justincharlesharlan@gmail.com.

Winning films will be highlighted to distribution partners for physical and streaming distribution.

Music winners will receive spotlight articles on multiple websites.

Screenwriting finalists and winners will have the opportunity to share their scripts with a variety of independent filmmakers.

All attendees and submitters will be in the running for physical and digital prizepacks!

As the event nears, additional announcements on specifics will be made, so stay tuned.

In addition to the final screening and awards, screening parties worldwide will be scheduled throughout the 10 day festival (if you'd like to partner your theater, bar, or any other venue - the more unique the better - contact the festival director).

The awards and final screening party will be hosted live at Ringing Rocks Roller Rink in Pottstown, PA.

All films, music, photos and artwork, and music videos are welcome despite ratings. One night of the festival will likely include a "late night" program, but the focus should be on story not pure pornographic material.

Preference will be given to genre material, as this is first and foremost a genre festival. All submissions are welcome - documentaries, standard drama, pop music, and other various media may be appropriate - but please understand that the programming will lean heavily towards genre fare for the bulk of the programming.

Thank you for selecting our film, Jane and the Rose. We are truly grateful.

Although the communication was mostly warm and kind, there were some gaps in responses. We understand — it's your first year, and we know how much effort that takes.

With just a bit more follow-up, it could have been an even greater experience.

All the films Streamed! Nobody Died! Success all around! Online chat rooms were great and met as many great filmmakers there as I would at many physical film festivals. All with a great old-school underground feel.
