The Colexico Experience Spaghetti & Westerns Festival is an IMDb qualifying film festival bringing Colorado and New Mexico together with trains, pasta, and Westerns! Join us as we take a film and culinary excursion through the "Rocky Mountain Land of Enchantment" from Trinidad, Colorado to Raton, New Mexico, and back again utilizing Amtrak's Southwest Chief train line. Featuring Western cinema in multiple historic theatres, honky-tonk music, cowboy poetry, live performances, and a whole lot of spaghetti! Happening on October 13 & 14, 2023 in Trinidad (Colorado), Raton (New Mexico), and on the train that connects them!

Awards & Prizes

Winners' films will be screened at the 2023 Spaghetti & Westerns Festival and filmmakers will be invited to attend the one-of-a-kind film festival.

Rules & Terms

The Colexico Experience Spaghetti & Westerns Festival is a celebration of Western culture and pasta. Each year we select a limited number of independent Western films as winners to be showcased in one of our many beautiful historic theatres.

Screen time is limited and our jury selects roughly 240 minutes worth of independent films divided into two (roughly) 120-minute segments. Whether your film is a narrative feature, in-depth documentary, or animated short, all film submissions are welcome as long as they can be classified as "a Western".
