Southern Screen is a multi-disciplinary arts organization that supports and celebrates creative professionals and their work. The festival provides a platform for emerging and innovative storytellers of all types to showcase their craft and share their creativity. We feature film screenings, live music, creative writing, live podcast, community workshops, networking mixers, parties, and more. Our mission is to move beyond traditional film and music festivals and expose our guests and our community to the endless possibilities of the arts and entertainment industry.

    This festival embodies Southern Hospitality. From the Q&A I participated in to the generous gift box sent to the filmmakers, I felt appreciated and really happy that my documentary was a part of this year's event. The films selected demonstrated inclusiveness and diversity and the festival itself celebrated independent filmmaking. Thank you for a great experience!

    Great film festival run by great people who really take the time to make every filmmaker feel appreciated. I've attended multiple years and they always manage to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere to hang out with other professionals from all corners of the industry.

    Even though the festival was virtual this year, the organizers were still incredibly present, and programmed some incredible films. They also sent a yummy care box full of local Lafayette ingredients for film makers to cook gumbo while they watched. Great idea! Was delicious. Thanks for programming our short- will
