The festival takes place in cultural and historical locations in Mexico, such as Mexico City, creating a unique atmosphere in the embrace of Latin American culture with a synergy of worldwide international filmmaking.
In June 2025 from 7-16 in Cinenauta, when the country is bathed in the warm rays of the sun, creating the perfect setting for movie lovers.
The festival offers a rich program of International independent and non-independent films including a wide range of Mexican films, animations, documentaries and films from talented independent filmmakers.
We aim to provide a platform to present and recognize the talent of International and Mexican filmmakers which can collaborate with each other, creating opportunities for a wide range of audiences to discover the unique and exciting aspects of the country's cinema.
We want to create a unique and immersive experience for audiences, bringing them together through a passion for film, Mexican culture, and vivid emotional experiences.
The Film Festival strives to create an energetic and positive atmosphere where audiences, creative professionals and industry leaders can exchange ideas, be inspired and make new connections.

Rules & Terms

1. "GoldenEye" for Best Film: This prestigious award is given to a film that stands out for its unique story, cinematic craftsmanship and impact on audiences.
2. "Silver Lens" for Best Director: An award that emphasizes outstanding directorial skill in the making of a film. Emphasizes visual decisions, artistic interpretation, and overall production direction.
3. "Crystal Feather" for Best Screenplay: Awarded to an outstanding screenplay that is characterized by originality, depth of characters and a compelling storyline.
4. "Starring Role" for Best Acting: This award recognizes outstanding acting achievement in major and minor roles, highlighting individual excellence and contribution to the overall atmosphere of the film.
5. "Artistic Masterpiece" for Best Artistic Design: An award that encourages the creative realization and artistic content of the film through costumes, sets, and overall aesthetic design.
6. "Melodic Sound" for Best Musical Track: This award recognizes an outstanding soundtrack and soundtrack that perfectly complements the mood of the film and deepens the viewer's emotional experience.
7. "Silver Frame" for Best Cinematography: An award emphasizing the talent of the cinematographer for outstanding work in creating cinematic images using light, composition and technical skill.

Prerequisites

1. All films must be in English or with English subtitles.Non-English language films without subtitles will not be considered.
2. All submitted films and projects must be free of any legal disputes, and the director must own all rights to music and exhibitions.
3. Applications must be submitted through FilmFreeway's online screening.
4. Entry fees are non-refundable.
5. We have no requirements for a movie premiere or completion date.
6. If you are not a winner, you may submit your movie again.
7. There are no restrictions on year of release.
8. The Film Festival reserves the right to change the program without prior notice.
