What I experienced at this festival truly filled my heart. It was community, creativity, and sisterhood. Hearing the audience react to my film was powerful, and connecting with so many talented Black creatives was inspiring.

This festival lives up to its name—you feel surrounded by your sistas, by family. Being a Black woman on this journey isn’t always easy, but spaces like this remind me why it’s worth it. Endless gratitude to the organizers and everyone who made it possible

We screened our rock opera proof of concept Rage this past August. Rage was received with open arms. We were able to network with some of the other filmmakers, as well as those hosting the festival. We made great connections and can’t wait to support for years to come.
