SiberiaDOC is a festival showcasing auteur documentary films from all over the world. We are interested in films in the creative documentary genre, which develop the language of cinema and have strong visual and dramaturgical images.

The Festival’s goal is to discover new names, meet young or experienced filmmakers, and share knowledge with each other. To create a space where one can watch sincere stories and find something unique in each film.

Siberia is a territory of people with a strong, open character and we are looking for films to be a reflection of these qualities, close to each one of us. We value personal stories from filmmakers who live in remote parts of the world. We believe that cinema can touch people's hearts.

Since 2009, SiberiaDOC has been developing and distributing documentary films. We organize film screenings, workshops, laboratories, creative meetings with directors, producers and film critics, and more. The First International Film Festival SiberiaDOC will take place from December 1 to 10, 2023 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.

Festival Program:

- International Film Program

The program accepts documentary films from all over the world from 60 to 180 minutes, created no later than 01.01.2022. The program consists mainly of Russian premieres and only regional premieres for the Siberian Federal District.

Directors or other members of the film crew are invited to the presentation screenings in Krasnoyarsk.

- Short and Medium-length Film Program

The program accepts documentary films from all over the world from 10 to 60 minutes, created no later than 01.01.2022. The program consists mainly of Russian premieres and only regional premieres for the Siberian Federal District.

- Out-of-Competition Program “Letters from Siberia”

The program consists of films that were made in different years, but nevertheless are united by a common theme. Thus, this slot is planned for documentaries made in Siberia, or those that represent ‘Siberian spirit’. These could be films by young directors, as well as retrospectives of established filmmakers.
