Itegboje Daniel is a documentary filmmaker and medical student. With a focus on addressing social issues and capturing real-life stories, he strives to create impactful narratives that resonate with audiences.
Daniel’s talent and dedication have earned him recognition, with his films having over 25 film festival selections, 5 special screenings, 15 nominations, 4 awards across 4 continents and 12 countries which are, the United States, Canada, France, Zambia, Zimbabwe, India, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Benin republique, Rwanda. With his latest project being the only Nigerian project selected to compete at the Oscar qualifying short category at the 45th Durban international film festival and also an AMVCA (Africa magic viewers choice awards) nominee. He is currently a finalist for the Chegg’s Global student prize 2025.
He has been sponsored by the French embassy in Nigeria twice to take part in different global documentary forums and sponsored by Sony to take part in the Sony future filmmaker awards in Los Angeles .He is a Story Mi documentary film fellow and a Global arts in medicine fellow.
He co-founded a media production company called 3WM productions focused on redefining African storytelling concluding projects for clients such as the, The international organisation for migration (By the UN), Ukaid, Mavins, Sony, Edo state government, Taraba state government, bet9ja, Octafx, Benson Idahosa University and many more.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Daniel remains committed to his medical studies. Pursuing his education in the demanding field of medicine, he aims to make a meaningful impact on global health outcomes. By combining his medical knowledge with his filmmaking skills, he aspires to bring attention to pressing health issues and effect positive change in communities.
