Showdown Shorts 2026

Presented by the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective and Camera House Maroochydore
Part of ShowFest: Sunshine Coast Screen Weekend

Showdown Shorts is the Sunshine Coast’s curated short-film showcase celebrating emerging filmmakers, independent storytelling, and regional creative voices.

Presented by the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective as part of ShowFest, the event brings together filmmakers, audiences, industry guests, students, and local creatives for a relaxed, community-focused cinema experience on the big screen.

As Sunny Coast Showdown has evolved into longer-form initiatives such as Showdown MAX and Showdown DOC, Showdown Shorts provides an accessible short-form platform that encourages filmmakers to get out, create work, and share their stories with an audience.
