SSFF is a wonderful festival!!!!! Great host, very smooth communication, very professional!

    September 2024
  • I'm so glad I decided to submit to Short Shorts - what followed was one of the most memorable experiences I've had at a film festival.
First, the communication with the team was great. It never took long for them to reply to my queries and things were straightforward and clear.

On the day of the screening, I was welcomed by members of the team. They showed me around and prepared me for what was so come. The post-screening Q&A was wonderful, the MC was brilliant at her job (she translated from Japanese to English and viceversa) and the live-stream allowed friends and family in other parts of the world to watch it!
Finally, I have to mention the festival's fantastic Sweepers event and the subsequent Meiji Jingu "Good Luck" Ceremony - what a wonderful idea! To allow the festival delegates to give back to the city of Tokyo whilst networking and then be part of a "Good Luck" ceremony at a Shinto shrine. Truly unique.

If you're reading this and thinking about submitting OR considering heading to Tokyo for Short Shorts, I can only recommend it.

I can't wait to go back!

Truly an eye opening experience for me. From the hospitality of the staff, the wonderful screening experience to the quality of the shorts, nothing is short of exceptional.

    July 2024
  • We were so honored to have our international premiere of our short documentary, 'David Again' at Short Shorts 2024! The festival was so welcoming of us, and even though we could not attend in person, they brought us in for a virtual Q&A after our screening. We were additionally honored for the kind words expressed in the special jury mention by Tim Redford. We look forward to submitting again in the future! Thank you, Short Shorts!
