Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia is an Academy Awards® accredited festival where the winner of the Best Short awards in the Official Competition, as well as the Non-Fiction Competition, will be eligible for nomination in the short film categories of the Academy Awards® the following year. The festival was founded in 1999 as The Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF), and since 2004, SSFF acquired a program specialized in Asian short films and established Short Shorts Film Festival Asia with the support of the Governor of Tokyo. There are fans of the film festival. They trust the festival's choice and very excited to check out. I thought that's one of the great things about the festival! And especially I LOVED their way of programming. Each time they show about 5 shorts. I love the order and choice of the films in each program. That made me feel like I'm reading a good collection of short stories. Also, staff members (especially the MC of the festival Dj. John) treat films with respect very much. (Is it usual? I didn't feel some of the festivals in that way) I'm very grateful to be able to show my film at SSFF&ASIA.
