1. Open to currently enrolled high school students (Grades 9–12) and college students residing in Clark County, NV.
2. Filmmakers must be aged 13 or older.
3. Applications for filmmakers under age 18 must include parent/guardian consent and contact information.
4. All entries must be original, student-created short films completed during the 2025–2026 academic year.
5. Films created using generative artificial intelligence (AI-generated art or video) will not be accepted.
6. Films containing offensive language or imagery, including smoking, drugs, alcohol use, overtly political, religious, and/or sexual content (including nudity), will not be considered.
7. Clark County Winchester Dondero Cultural Center reserves the right to disqualify or remove any film that poses a potential risk of harm to the public or the facility.
8. Filmmakers acknowledge that the showcase takes place in a public venue. Films screened may be photographed or recorded (in part) by visitors, members of the press, or County staff for promotional and educational purposes, including social media postings before, during, and after the event.
9. Filmmakers are responsible for submitting their films in the appropriate format before the deadline.
10. Films must be primarily created by students. Adult mentors/advisors are permitted but may not serve in key creative roles (director, editor, writer, cinematographer).
11. All films must properly credit individuals involved in the production.
12. By submitting a film, you certify that you hold all necessary rights for presentation at the Short Notice Film Showcase.
13. There is no limit to the number of films a filmmaker, producer, or school may submit.
14. Eligible genres include fiction, documentaries, animation, and experimental films.
15. Films must be 15 minutes or less in length.
16. Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway. Screeners must be password-protected and not available for public online streaming.
17. Filmmakers may be asked to provide an optional film poster. If submitted, posters will be displayed in a public gallery space and may be photographed by visitors, press, and County staff for promotional and educational purposes, including social media use.
