Short films struggle to reach the viewers they deserve. Limited distribution channels, high submission fees, and festival gatekeepers make it difficult for shorts to be seen by wider audiences.

That’s where Short Frame comes in.

We’re here to change the landscape and we’ve built a space where short films can be shared with global audiences, achieving thousands to millions of views, while making sure filmmakers being paid a fair revenue for their work.

Short Frame curates a diverse selection of high-quality short films, leveraging the power of YouTube's vast reach and discoverability to amplify the voices of talented filmmakers.

You should expect a clear strategy for your short film. With our years of experience working with industry leaders in film production and digital media, we know how to help your film find an audience and the appreciation it deserves.

We showcase short films from all the major festivals — Cannes, Sundance, Berlinale, and beyond — but we know that a festival run isn’t the only mark of a great film. Many of the most powerful, innovative stories come from filmmakers who haven’t had the backing of big-name festivals. Story is what matters most. A film’s impact isn’t defined by the opinion of festival programmers. No matter where a film has screened (or hasn’t), if it tells a compelling story, there’s a place for it at Short Frame.

i) We work closely with filmmakers to package their films for release. You can expect a best in class, analytics-driven packaging of your film for online audiences, maximising retention, discoverability, click-through-rate and quality compliance.

ii) We want to work WITH you, offering a fair revenue share (50% of Ad Revenue, 100% of Tips) to showcase your film. We’ll also share with you a list of short film reviewers to speak with as you approach your launch window.

Your short film is your calling card - it need to be seen as widely as possible. Being part of a consistent, linked publishing schedule can help build momentum around your project and we think this should be achieved transparently and fairly.

Short Frame Terms and Conditions

i) Short Frame accepts all fiction and non-fiction film genres. There is no minimum or maximum duration.
ii) If your film is accepted to Short Frame, you will be sent a Licensing Agreement to sign electronically. This lays out our revenue share agreement, advertising units and terms in full. We will not exhibit your film until receipt of deliverables and Licensing Agreement.
iii) You MUST own all rights to your film. If rights are shared with other production companies, they must be notified and co-sign the Licensing Agreement.
iv) You MUST have obtained and cleared the synchronization, master use, and public performance rights for music contained in your film. It is your responsibility to ensure that any music used has been cleared for use.
