Here’s a set of comprehensive rules and terms for the 2025 Shoot Your Shot Film Festival to be used on FilmFreeway. These terms are tailored to ensure clarity for submitters while outlining the expectations and criteria for the festival:

2025 Shoot Your Shot Film Festival - Rules & Terms

1. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- All submissions must be original works created by the submitting filmmaker(s).
- Films must have been completed after January 1, 2023.
- Short films should be **under 30 minutes**, and feature films should be 30 minutes or longer.
- Submissions must not be publicly available online (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo) unless part of a private screening or for promotional purposes.
- Filmmakers may submit multiple projects, but each submission must have its own entry fee.
- Films that are not in English must have English subtitles.
- We accept narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, and music videos.

### **2. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES**
- All submissions must be made via **FilmFreeway** and include a complete screener link.
- Submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of acceptance or non-acceptance.
- Filmmakers must provide an **HD version** of their film (minimum 1080p) for screening if selected.
- Please ensure your FilmFreeway profile is up-to-date, including film synopsis, director bio, and a high-resolution poster.

- The filmmaker retains all ownership rights to their project.

5. SCREENING & SELECTION
- All selected films will be notified via email. Please ensure that your contact information is up-to-date on FilmFreeway.
- Official selections will be announced [Date TBA] on the SYSFF website and social media channels.
- SYSFF reserves the right to determine the time, date, and venue of exhibition for each selected film.
- Selected filmmakers will receive two (2) complimentary festival passes.

6. DISTRIBUTION OPPORTUNITIES**
- SYSFF actively supports filmmakers in securing distribution deals. By participating, you may be contacted by distribution partners post-festival if your film is considered for potential distribution opportunities.

8. TERMS & CONDITIONS
