The She's Reel Film Festival is a festival highlighting the work of young femme-identifying artists in the Greater Philadelphia area. It's a festival by young femme filmmakers and for young femme filmmakers. The goal is to inspire these artists and celebrate them as valued members of the male-dominated film industry.

Awards & Prizes

Our esteemed judges, who are women professionals in the film industry will be selecting awards for the following categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the narrative category, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Story, and the grand prize She's Reel Award.

NOTE: Non-narrative films are still eligible for awards.

Award winners will receive trophies.

Rules & Terms

Eligibility: She’s Reel is open to femme-identifying residents of the Greater Philadelphia area, ages 13- 22. Eligible films must be completed after 2016. Entrants must provide their age and the names and gender identifications for each primary filmmaker. In order to be considered, at least one primary filmmaker must be femme-identifying.

Length of Film: All films must be 30 minutes or less including credits.
