  • Entered this local, woman centered festival with high hopes, however, was left extremely disappointed. There was no communication or correspondence from the organizers of this "festival". Zero information after 'official selection' email. The event and date went from postponed to no event or announcements at all. Phone call and direct email went unanswered. Don't waste your time and money submitting here. SheFilms is a fraudulent and FilmFreeway ought to rid organizations such as this from their platform.

    Response from festival:

Hello Kween, we deeply apologize for your experience. I was hit with a family tragedy at the time we were planning the award ceremony. We were not able to announce winners, for I'd rather do it the right way. Our first one was such a success and I'm disappointed that the 2nd year wasn't as successful. I plan on either just giving out the awards to winners or combining the award ceremony with another festival. This we did in 2021 but this year that festival started late because we shared the related tragedy. All selected participants will receive an email notification about the ceremony date. Again, I apologize.
