Shannon Wafford has over 30 years in the film, television, music and entertainment business. He started writing when he was young and has had many written works printed in publications across the country. He began his music career writing and playing in a Christian band in San Diego in 1984. After he left the band he studied theater and attended 4 years of college drama classes.
His career has grown over the years since those days of doing "extra" work to doing stunts and directing in TV and film. His credits include working on feature films and television with many great actors including Steve Martin, Brian Dennehy, Dennis Farina, John Lithgow, Jonathan Silverman and many more. He has also done production work on many sports shows including The X Games and the Super Bowl.
In 1998 Shannon began his production company called “Snow Productions.” As an independent TV and film producer he garnered many awards and accolades for his work. He has written, directed and produced 3 local TV shows and ranked in the top 5 in the Nielsen Ratings for his time slot. In 2009 he was hired to turn a novel into a screenplay and film. As director and co producer he managed to complete the film on time and under the $100,000 budget.
Shannon has produced many music videos including a remake of the 70’s hit “Saturday Night” with the Bay City Rollers featuring Ian Mitchell.
He continues to work with bands on a budget as well as feature length documentaries like “A Date With Infamy” about military pilots from WW2 and their similarities to modern military pilots.
One of his current projects is a feature length documentary about James Dean called “James Dean’s Last Drive.”
When not working on film projects Shannon is building custom cars and guitars, writing, doing photography or working on music projects.
